Melissa Foster on Making a Difference: "It means more than showing up."

Melissa Foster, founder of World Literary Cafe and author of Megan's Way, kicks off David Nevin's series of weekly interviews on the theme of adding value to the writing community:

"Being a member of a community means more to me than showing up. It means supporting and being supported, and there always should be more give than take. ...I surround myself with like-minded people, and I share my values with others. Not all are open to paying-it-forward, but I think most people I come in contact with are."
